Utopia is an installation which develop the use of archives to explore
the history of New Songdo, South Korea. Meeting with members of the Historic Research Institute of Incheon allowed me to question the choice of creating there the showcase of South Korean expertise in new technologies and some 200 years
before its construction. Theatre of the Korean War, U.S. bombing
North Korean troops, Chinese invasions, Japanese colonization, clashes
with Russia and the first port of South Korea opened to the world, many
strata that can help to fell this future already under construction.
Far from wanting to answer these questions, this work brings together
Video and photography and tends to produce a " disposal " of the spectator in the heart of this which could well be a radical change in our lifestyle.
